With its origins dating back to ancient China some 1500 years ago, it should come as no surprise that seitan is the perfect fit for a wide range of Asian dishes. Whether it’s the chilli and garlic seitan in teriyaki sauce with rice and spring onion pictured above, or the or the simply seitan tikka masala pictured to the right, adding seitan to these and a wide range of Asian / Indian dishes will not only enhance, but will satisfy the customer.

Seitan Sushi Cut your seitan into thin strips and either use as it or flash fry for 30 seconds then create your sushi. Typical vegan sushi it simply rice with cucumber or avocado. Adding thin strips of seitan will give it more flavour, bite and satisfaction.

Vegatsu Seitan Katsu is one of the most popular dishes on the menu at Wagamama. In fact, Katsu fever seems to be sweeping the nation! Take a slice of seitan and cut it into strips, and coat in crispy panko breadcrumbs, then deep fry for 2 mins. Serve with a katsu curry sauce, rice and a fresh side salad.
